Perm Photographer's Polyud Mountain Video Enters Top 10 Travel Inspirations

The service «2GIS» included a video by Perm photographer and blogger Rodion Balkov in a selection of 10 videos inspiring travel. It shows Polyud Mountain — a well-known natural attraction of Perm Krai.

Rodion Balkov regularly uploads his photos to 2GIS; since 2025, videos can also be attached to location cards. The photographer added a short video to the «Polyud Mountain» location in Krasnovishersky District, and the service«s team commissioned an AI to select the best videos.

The artificial intelligence analyzed about 12 million pieces of content added to the platform in 2025. Besides Polyud, the top 10 included videos about attractions in Saint Petersburg, Tyumen, Altai, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, and Moscow.

«I just upload my content to the cards, and for the second year in a row, they select me themselves. A 2GIS manager wrote to me, asking for permission to publish on their landing page and social networks,» Rodion Balkov told 59.RU.

In total, on the online map platform, the photographer has published 435 photos and 15 videos. In 2024, a photo by the Perm resident from Chukotka was included in the «100 Frames of the Year» selection.
