The airline AzurAir has halted international flights from Tomsk due to a shortage of aircraft, according to Stanislav Tarakov, commercial director of the Siberian cluster of Novaport holding (which operates Bogashevo Airport), during a TASS press conference.

«To our regret and that of AzurAir, the airline is forced to temporarily withdraw from the Tomsk market due to a lack of aircraft, as they informed us. We agreed with them in February to coordinate plans. If their aviation equipment situation normalizes, so to speak, they will gladly return to the Tomsk market,» Tarakov said.

Additionally, he stated that negotiations are ongoing with carriers interested in launching international flights from Tomsk to Vietnam and Tashkent. However, since talks are still in progress, it is premature to discuss the resumption of these flights.

It is noted that the Tomsk airport schedule for 2026 currently has no foreign destinations. Meanwhile, in October last year, Stanislav Tarakov reported on possible flights from the regional capital«s air hub to China and Uzbekistan.
