«The flight attendant said there was a failure at Koltsovo, so the departure is delayed. They»re not giving an exact time,« reported a resident of Yekaterinburg.

The failure did occur, but not at the airport itself. Airport authorities advised passengers to track their flight status and follow messages from their airlines.

«Due to a failure in external systems, passenger data is not loading automatically at our check-in counters. Airport staff are switching to alternative systems for registration, and in some cases will register passengers manually. This takes a little more time. In registration areas, airline representatives are also assisting passengers,» clarified the situation at Koltsovo.

Ural Airlines also reported the problem, emphasizing that passenger and baggage check-in, as well as other airline services, are temporarily limited.
