Abkhazia to start receiving social electricity transfer from Russia

Starting tomorrow, Abkhazia will begin receiving a social electricity transfer from Russia. This was reported by Sputnik with reference to the General Director of Chernomorenergo, Timur Dzhindzholia.
The volumes of the transfer are planned to be clarified next week.
Since August 2025, Abkhazia had been receiving electricity on a commercial basis. It was paid for by Chernomorenergo. In total, during this time, 720.5 million kWh of electricity were supplied to the republic. The company paid 650 million rubles (approximately $7.2 million at current rates) for it.
