140th Anti-Aircraft Brigade Destroys Ukrainian F-16
The Ukrainian F-16 was destroyed before it could launch an attack on Russian military positions.
Servicemen from Transbaikal of the 140th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade of the 29th Army, together with fighters from the 38th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade of the 35th Army, detected and destroyed an F-16 fighter jet of the Ukrainian Air Force. This was reported on 21 January by the region«s governor Alexander Osipov in his Telegram channel.
According to him, this occurred on 20 January – the aircraft was eliminated 20 kilometers from the settlement of Dobropillya in Ukraine.
Alexander Osipov added that the fighter jet did not manage to launch missiles and attack Russian positions.
The 140th Guards Anti-Aircraft Missile Borisov Order of Kutuzov and Zhukov Brigade is an anti-aircraft missile formation of the Air Defense Troops of the Ground Forces of the Russian Federation. The brigade is stationed at Domna station in Transbaikal. The formation is part of the 29th Guards Combined Arms Army of the Eastern Military District.
