Yugra cities to be buried in snow on January 30

According to the Khanty-Mansiysk Center for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, adverse weather is expected in the cities of Yugra on the afternoon of January 30.

In the southern half of Yugra, including Surgut, Uray, Nefteyugansk, Nizhnevartovsk, Pyt-Yakh, Kondinsky, Nefteyugansky and Surgutsky districts, heavy snowfall is forecast. In the northern, eastern and central parts of the region, precipitation is also expected, but more moderate.

Residents of Yugra are also being warned about frost and icy conditions on the roads.

During the snowfall, residents are advised not to go outside unless necessary, and to pay attention to the integrity of overhead power lines and tree branches. Drivers are advised to refrain from trips if possible, especially out-of-town journeys, and to observe the speed limit.

Earlier we reported that on the «death highway» in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug two trucks collided. There were fatalities. The road had to be completely closed to traffic.
