On the night of Saturday, January 24, the thermometer will read from -15 to -20 degrees Celsius (5 to -4°F), and in the north of the region, frosts down to -25 degrees Celsius (-13°F) are possible. In some places, light to moderate snow is expected. The wind will be southwesterly, with speeds of 3-8 meters per second, gusting up to 14 meters per second. During the day, air temperatures will range from -10 to -15 degrees Celsius (14 to 5°F), locally down to -20 degrees Celsius (-4°F). Snow will persist.

On Sunday, January 25, the cold will intensify. Overnight, temperatures are expected from -26 to -31 degrees Celsius (-15 to -24°F), and in some areas down to -16…-21 degrees Celsius (3 to -6°F). In some places, light snow is expected. The wind will remain southwesterly, 3-8 meters per second. During the day, air temperatures will range from -11 to -16 degrees Celsius (12 to 3°F), in the northwest locally down to -21 degrees Celsius (-6°F).

In Barnaul on Saturday, January 24, daytime temperatures are expected from -13 to -15 degrees Celsius (9 to 5°F). Overnight, the temperature will drop to -18…-20 degrees Celsius (0 to -4°F). Moderate snow is expected, with a southwesterly wind of 3-8 meters per second.

On Sunday, January 25, in Barnaul, the regional capital, daytime temperatures will range from -14 to -16 degrees Celsius (7 to 3°F). Light snow is possible by the end of the day. Overnight, air temperatures will reach -26…-28 degrees Celsius (-15 to -18°F).
