Voronezh braces for returning frosts after warm spell

After a brief period of above-freezing temperatures and ice rain, Voronezh is set to experience severe frosts again, according to the regional Hydrometeorological Center.

A slight plus temperature and snow with ice rain, which arrived in Voronezh on January 28, will persist in the city for only one more day. After that, severe frosts will return to the city. This is reported by the regional Hydrometeorological Center.

Today, January 29, the weather will be as unpleasant as the day before: during the day up to +3°C (37°F) and wet snow with ice rain, and by night — cooling to -7°C (19°F) with black ice.

In the last two days of January, the 30th and 31st, daytime frosts will return — first to -3°C (27°F), then to -10°C (14°F). On Friday, heavy snow is expected, and on Saturday — moderate snow. At night — down to -13°C (9°F). On the night to Sunday, February 1, thermometers may drop to -20°C (-4°F).

The preliminary forecast for early February is disheartening: in Voronezh, -20°C (-4°F) frosts will continue to rage. Moreover, they are expected both at night and during the day. And «Yandex» even forecasts down to -29°C (-20°F) on the night of February 2.
