Volgograd photographer captures beauty of biting frost

The berries look as if they were sprinkled with powdered sugar
In the midst of the frost, when the thermometer shows -20 degrees Celsius (-4°F), many residents of Volgograd Oblast try to keep warm. However, mobile photographer Yulia Voropayeva chose a different path — she went to Izobillnaya Street in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd with a camera in her hands.

Every hair on the stem seems to tremble from the cold
The result was a series of mesmerizing shots showcasing the realm of true Russian winter. The photos feature dormant nature, bound by frost, and snowflakes stuck to plants, a reminder of the relentless cold. These frames reveal the beauty that city dwellers often miss as they rush to warm interiors.

City dwellers rushing to warmth rarely notice this beauty
Another example of winter photography is the work of amateur photographer Yevgeniya. She previously shared landscapes from the Nikolayevsky district of Volgograd Oblast. Yevgeniya admits that she walks home from work and in such moments cannot help but observe the beauty of nature. “You can«t miss such an opportunity — to walk and enjoy nature,” she believes. In her opinion, frost and sun are signs of a wonderful day.
