While the entire Volgograd region is trying to warm up somehow, and the «Heat Supply Concessions» call the cold a subjective concept, mobile photographer Yulia Voropaeva was not afraid to go out to Izobilnaya Street in the Krasnoarmeysky District straight into -20°C (-4°F) to take mesmerizing shots. In the photos — an enchanting kingdom of real Russian winter, which holds the still sleeping nature in its shackles. Snowflakes stuck to plants remind us: for now, the frost is not planning to give up. We look and admire what city residents usually miss, rushing to get into a warm building faster.

Each tiny hair on the plant stem appears to be frozen solid, capturing the intensity of the cold.

Recall that recently amateur photographer Yevgeniya shared landscapes of Russian winter in the Nikolayevsky District of Volgograd Region. Yevgeniya admits that she walks home from work and in such moments simply cannot help but admire the beauty of nature — she just wants to capture it on camera! «One cannot miss such an opportunity — to walk and enjoy nature,» thinks Yevgeniya, who clearly believes that frost and sun are signs of a wonderful day.

Residents of Volgograd rushing indoors to escape the cold often overlook the scenic winter details around them.
