The problem of ice in Tyumen remains urgent. City residents continue to complain about slippery sidewalks and roadways, which pose a danger to pedestrians.

Hazardous areas have been noted in various districts of Tyumen, including the center and residential neighborhoods. Among them:

  • streets Melnikayte, Shirotnaya, Gnarovskaya, Ordzhonikidze, Melnichnaya, Yamskaya, Maxim Gorky, Dzerzhinsky, Bogdanovich, Karnatsevich, Goltsova;
  • districts Vostochny, Mys, Tyumensky-1;
  • stops «Tsentralny Rynok», «Molodogvardeytsev», «Polevaya», «Tsentralnaya», area opposite the trauma center;
  • areas near the 17th clinic on Montazhnikov, clinic on Permyakova, 75, shopping center «Goodwin» on Sovetskaya;
  • entrances to stores and pharmacies, for example, «Zhivika» and «Magnit» near «Vostok».

City residents provide specific examples. «Ordzhonikidze Street from Respublika towards Volodarsky is a real skating rink, it»s scary to walk,« notes one Tyumen resident. Another writes about Melnikayte Street: »The asphalt is on a slope, everything is just polished. Some slides at the crossings, nothing is cleaned.« They also complain about the entire Vostochny district, calling it a »continuous skating rink.«

Many complaints are related to bus stops. «Near the »Tsentralny Rynok« stop, it»s scary to cross — waves of ice on the roadway,« reports one of them. At »Molodogvardeytsev,« a woman almost got hit by a bus, and at »Polevaya« and »Tsentralnaya,« falls with injuries have been recorded.

Cases of falls with serious consequences have been recorded. «On Respublika, I took a hard fall today,» says a resident. Another woman described an incident in detail: «Yesterday we were walking from the clinic on Permyakova, 75. ... I fell flat on my back and hit my head on the ice with full force.» There are also reports of a leg fracture on Maxim Gorky Street and an arm fracture on Dzerzhinsky Street.

In the comments, there is bewilderment about the work of utility services. «Is someone responsible for the areas?» ask Tyumen residents. They note that sidewalks and pedestrian crossings are not cleared of ice, and the use of ice picks is insufficient.

Recall that in January, due to low temperatures, «aktinovannye dni» (days off for younger students due to cold) were declared for elementary school students. Meanwhile, middle and high school students continued to go to school, which caused dissatisfaction among parents. Some of them even filed complaints with Yekaterina Mizulina, considering such days off unfair.
