In the Ryazan region, utility services have been switched to round-the-clock operation. Governor Pavel Malkov gave this instruction on January 27 at a meeting of the regional government.

The head of the region asked officials to pay attention to the weather forecast.

«I ask you to pay attention to the weather forecast. I checked it again this morning, serious snowfalls have begun, and they will continue for quite a long time. Therefore, all administrations, all vital services need to be in full readiness,» Malkov stated.

According to him, it must be understood that due to the snowfall, various emergency situations and power line wire breaks can occur, so we need to be prepared for this.

«I ask to switch all services to round-the-clock mode. Snow is falling right now,» added Pavel Malkov.

The head of the Ryazan administration, Boris Yasinsky, reported earlier in the morning that the Public Works Directorate had mobilized all forces for round-the-clock work. Fifteen combined road machines were treating the roadways of the regional center, and 87 people are clearing bus stops and pedestrian crossings.
