Ryazan Allocates Nearly 5 Million Rubles for Snow Cleanup

Snow removal services will cover all public roads, sidewalks, and squares in the city.
Ryazan is ready to spend another 4,897,040 rubles (approximately $54,400 at current rates) on snow removal and disposal from public roads, squares, and sidewalks. This applies to all districts immediately. The City Improvement Directorate announced such a tender.
This tender is exactly the same as several previous ones. The contract with the contractor will be signed by mid-April 2026, and snow must be removed around the clock, including on holidays and weekends.
While authorities are looking for a contractor, there are several important conditions:
not to damage green spaces when storing snow;
not to allow the formation of snow banks at intersections and sidewalks;
not to pollute the area with oils and other petroleum products due to malfunctioning equipment.
«In the event of emergency situations, the contractor must immediately report information to the Municipal State Institution »Management for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the City of Ryazan« and take measures to eliminate the emergency situation,» according to the draft contract.
Daily, the contractor will have to send a photo report of the work done over the past day to a representative of the City Improvement Directorate. This information will likely later appear on the mayor«s office»s social media.
