In Rostov-on-Don, a high alert regime has been introduced for emergency and utility services. Tomorrow, January 23, the weather in the city is set to deteriorate sharply. This was reported by Rostov Mayor Alexander Skryabin.

The regime will be in effect from 18:00 on January 22 to 12:00 on January 27. From January 23 to 26, a cold snap is forecast for the region, with night temperatures dropping to -20°C (-4°F). Snow will fall across the area, heavy in places, and winds will strengthen. A blizzard and ice rain will begin. Forecasters also predict ice and the accumulation of wet snow on power lines and trees. The water level in the Don River will fall to unfavorable levels and lower.
