According to the Rostov Hydrometeorological Center, warming is expected in the region on January 20, but temperatures will not rise above freezing.

In Rostov, cloudy weather with clearings is forecast, with no precipitation expected. The wind will be north and north-west at 5–10 meters per second. During the day, the air will warm up to −5…−7 degrees Celsius (23…19°F), which is warmer than the previous day. At night, temperatures will drop to −11…−13 degrees Celsius (12…9°F).

Over most of Rostov Oblast, variable cloudiness is also expected. In some areas, light snow is possible, with frost in isolated districts. The wind will remain north and north-west at 5–10 meters per second. Daytime temperatures will range from −5 to −10 degrees Celsius (23 to 14°F), and nighttime temperatures from −8 to −13 degrees Celsius (18 to 9°F).

On all roads in the oblast, icy conditions will persist.
