Residents of Udmurtia Warned of Heavy Snowfall

Heavy snowfall is expected in Udmurtia. This was reported by the press service of the Izhevsk administration with reference to the regional Hydrometeorological Center.

The snowfall began on Tuesday, January 27. And no significant improvement in weather conditions is expected until the end of the week. Residents of Udmurtia are again warned: during the night on Thursday, January 29, heavy snowfalls will occur across the republic. Precipitation will persist during the day. Visibility will deteriorate to 500 meters or less.

In connection with this, the population is reminded of safety rules:

• Be especially attentive on roads and sidewalks;

• Do not approach broken wires; if detected, report by calling 8-800-220-02-20;

• In strong wind, avoid being in open areas;

• Do not park cars near trees and shaky, unstable structures;

• If you notice dangerous accumulation of snow and ice on the roof of your house, report it to your management company, homeowners association, or service organization.

Note that on the night from January 28 to 29, starting at 21:00, snow removal will take place in Izhevsk on Levanovsky, Kooperativnaya, and Bazisnaya streets. In addition, the contractor will clear the passage from the house at 193 Kommunarov Street to the house at 160 Pushkinskaya Street, along kindergarten No. 285. Motorists are asked not to park vehicles on these sections.
