Today«s snowfall triggered severe multi-kilometer traffic jams and several dozen accidents across Perm. However, this is only the beginning. Andrey Shikhov described what awaits residents on the night and day of January 30.

According to Perm State National Research University (PSNRU) scientist Andrey Shikhov, the snowfall will intensify from midnight and continue until noon on January 30. During this time, more than 10 centimeters (4 inches) of snow will fall.

“After that, the intensity of the snowfall will decline. However, the snow accumulation tomorrow will be significantly greater than today, and the traffic situation may also be much worse than today,” Shikhov told 59.RU.
