Frosty conditions in Novosibirsk are expected to ease as a warm air mass approaches from Europe later in January.

Frosts in the Novosibirsk region will last at least until January 26 — a warm air mass will begin to enter the region after January 27. This was reported to an NGS correspondent by the West Siberian Hydrometeorological Service.

«Only in the middle of next week will the weather be milder. Closer to the end of January, a significant restructuring is occurring in the atmosphere. The flows will be restructuring to western processes. From the territory of western regions of Europe, a warmer air mass will gradually come to us. This is after January 27,» explained Natalya Kichanova, head of the weather forecast department at the West Siberian Hydrometeorological Service.

At the very end of January and in early February, daytime temperatures may reach -5… -10 degrees Celsius (23…14°F), nighttime around -10… -15 degrees Celsius (14…5°F).
