Rescuers have issued an emergency weather warning for January 30. According to forecasters, intense snowfall is predicted in Sverdlovsk Oblast.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) has urged drivers to obey traffic rules, choose safe speeds, maintain distance, and be cautious when maneuvering.
If caught in snowfall while driving, motorists should move to the rightmost lane, come to a smooth stop, turn on hazard lights, and wait out the bad weather.
Pedestrians are advised to avoid unstable structures and buildings with unsteady roofs. In an emergency, call the unified number for emergency services at 112.
Previously, on the morning of January 29, Yekaterinburg was hit by heavy snowfall. According to Yandex Weather, precipitation may continue until evening and could last for several more days in some areas.
