Voronezh drivers have been warned about heavy snow on the M-4 «Don» highway. The bad weather will hit the road today, January 29, according to the company Avtodor.
Due to the snowfall, visibility will worsen on the highway and a snowpack will form—a compacted layer of snow that hinders movement. Drivers are asked to postpone long trips if possible.
The bad weather will also hit another highway, M-12 «Vostok», especially in Tatarstan. In case of an emergency on the road, one can call 112.
According to the regional Hydrometeorological Center, the snowfall in Voronezh Region could last for three days, until January 31. The precipitation will be accompanied by severe frosts. In the first days of February, temperatures in parts of the region could drop to -25…-30 degrees Celsius (-13…-22°F), according to a preliminary forecast from Yandex.
