Krasnoyarsk Krai has been included in the list of regions with the highest snowdrifts, reports TASS, citing the Phobos weather center.

According to the center, near Dudinka, the snow cover measures 103 centimeters (about 40 inches). Krasnoyarsk Krai is the only Siberian region to make this list and immediately rank in the top three, placing third.

Besides it, the list of regions with the highest snowdrifts includes Kamchatka Krai — 144 centimeters (about 57 inches), with some areas reaching up to 168 centimeters (about 66 inches). In mid-January, the region was hit by such heavy snowfall that snowdrifts as high as a three-story building formed. Also, Khabarovsk Krai: up to 134 centimeters (about 53 inches).

Meanwhile, residents of the capital not only of the krai but also of Siberia are complaining about roads not cleared of snow. On Friday morning, January 30, heavy traffic jams formed in the city. Drivers report that on some stretches, lanes literally «disappear.»

In Krasnoyarsk, incidentally, it has warmed up significantly, but don«t relax — frost is rushing toward the city.
