The Kazan mayor«s office has warned that snow removal may take more time due to a snowstorm that will cover the city soon, and it published contact numbers for this purpose.

“The weather situation will be difficult and will require time for complete elimination of the consequences,” wrote the city administration in its Telegram channel.

During the day, 325 units of equipment and 552 road workers will be deployed to combat the bad weather, but the main focus will be at night to avoid disrupting traffic.

Problem areas can be reported using the following phone numbers and channels:

The Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) asked people not to hide from the wind behind advertising boards, trees, and under power lines.

The State Traffic Inspectorate asked Kazan drivers not to use personal cars unless absolutely necessary, and if they do go out — not to speed. Pedestrians were recommended to attach reflective elements to their clothing.

Currently, bad weather is raging in Moscow and the Moscow region. There, Sheremetyevo Airport was even closed for 3 hours, causing 5 flights to be delayed in Kazan. People literally stormed approaching public transport. In the capital, 9-point traffic jams persisted for several hours.
