January Blizzard Howls: Weather Forecast for Rostov and Region

In Rostov Oblast, after a brief warm spell, winter has decided to reassert itself. On 23 January, it will get cold again and snow will fall heavily. This is according to the hydrometeorological bulletin from the Rostov Hydrometeorological Center.
In Rostov on 23 January, it will be cloudy with clearings. During the day, snow will fall, heavy in places, and a blizzard is even possible. At night, it will also snow. Roads will be icy and there will be snow drifts. The wind will increase to 8–13 meters per second.
The cold will not be severe, however, only by a few degrees—down to -5…-3°C (23…27°F) during the day and -9…-7°C (16…19°F) at night.
In Rostov Oblast, it will also be cloudy with clearings. During the day and at night, there will be light to moderate snow, heavy in places. In some areas, a blizzard. Roads will be icy, and during the day there will be snow drifts.
The wind will be mostly the same as in Rostov—8–13 meters per second. But in the Azov Sea region, it will be noticeably stronger—with gusts of 15–17 meters per second.
Air temperatures during the day across the region will range from -5 to -10°C (23 to 14°F), and in the south up to -2°C (28°F). At night, it will be the same -10…-5°C (14…23°F), but with clear skies down to -16°C (3°F).
