Irina Pegova Shares Her New Year's Traditions

Famous actress from Vyksa (Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia) Irina Pegova shared that she loves New Year very much and discussed how she decorates her home for the holiday. She adores glowing garlands, New Year«s wreaths, and always puts up a real fir tree, which, like for many Russians, stays at home almost until spring — Pegova said in an interview with »Novy Ochag«.
«I don»t belong to those people who are against real fir trees. I love precisely the real one — beautiful, fluffy, and very big, three-meter (about 10 feet). To be exact, it«s not even a fir tree, but a fir. And it stands for a very long time, sometimes until February 23 (Defender of the Fatherland Day). It hasn»t made it to March 8 (International Women«s Day) yet, but there»s every chance. As a rule, my sister comes to visit and says: «Well, what is this mess? It»s almost spring, and you still have everything decorated. Let«s take it down,»« — shared Irina.
She also mentioned that she has a large collection of Christmas tree ornaments, stored in three huge boxes. She has been collecting them all her life and continues to do so.
«Typically, these are ornaments in retro style, reminiscent of Soviet ones: balls, animals, cars, snowmen. Now you can also often find nice cotton wool ornaments for sale. I collect those too — they»re very beautiful. Naturally, Christmas ornaments break… Not sometimes, but often, and it«s absolutely heartbreaking. Therefore, I decorate the tree myself. And if I allow someone, for example my daughter, to help me, I beg them to be extremely careful so that nothing breaks,» — added the actress.
Before preparing for New Year, Irina Pegova traveled to Dubai. The actress shared how she spent her vacation.
