Gubakha resort reopens weekend despite train cancellations due to frost

On winter weekends, hundreds of alpine skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts visit the resort.
The all-season Gubakha resort has announced it will resume operations this weekend. However, it was recently revealed that train services to it have been canceled due to severe frost. This guide explains how skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts can reach the resort.
In the Perm Krai, abnormal frosts continue for the second day in a row. In Perm, the air temperature during the day dropped to -32 °C (-25.6 °F). Due to the cold, «Khokhlovka» and three other Perm museums have suspended operations. The administration of the Gubakha resort reported that it would not operate on January 22 and 23, and on January 24, there may be issues with the lifts, and a bus will transport guests to the mountain top.
Today, in the Gubakha group on VKontakte, it was written that on Saturday, January 24, the cable cars will be launched and the slopes prepared for skiing. The resort will operate from 10:00 to 21:00. Usually, one can reach Gubakha on the «Gornolyzhny Express» train from Perm II station. However, the Perm Suburban Company warned that due to bad weather, they have been canceled: on the upcoming weekend, January 24 and 25, they will not run to Gubakha.
The resort administration reminded that it can be reached by bus — this is the official transfer from Perm, Solikamsk, and Berezniki. In Perm, on both days, it stops at 06:10 at the «Stolitsa» shopping center, and then — at «Goznak», the Teatr-Teatr, the Officers« House, and in the Iva microdistrict. One can also get to Gubakha on their own by private car. It can be parked at one of three free parking lots or one paid one.
Earlier we wrote that over Perm, due to the frost, a «fog with elements of smog» will hang.
