Frosts, Time's Up! Forecasters Predict Warming for Bashkortostan

A warming trend is coming to Bashkortostan. According to the Bashkir Hydrometeorological Service (Bashhydromet), nighttime temperatures will soon begin to rise. Let«s look at the weather forecast.

This afternoon, January 27, the republic will see light snow and temperatures from -13°C (9°F) to -18°C (0°F). Tonight, January 28, temperatures will drop from -15°C (5°F) to -20°C (-4°F), and during clear spells down to -22°C (-8°F) and even -27°C (-17°F). However, compared to last night«s -32°C (-26°F), it»s clear temperatures have finally begun to climb. Earlier, meteorologist Alexander Ilyin from the Meteo center reported that warming would begin across the republic on Wednesday — both at night and during the day.

On the afternoon of January 28, according to the Bashhydromet forecast, air temperatures will range from -9°C (16°F) to -14°C (7°F). On the night of January 29, it will cool down again, but only to -10°C (14°F) to -15°C (5°F), and during clear spells to -20°C (-4°F). Daytime temperatures are expected to be from -5°C (23°F) to -10°C (14°F).

«The warmest such air masses will be observed in the southeastern districts, and then on Thursday — in the north of the region, down to -5°C (23°F) to -10°C (14°F), and in some places even to -3°C (27°F),» said Alexander Ilyin.

According to his data, by Friday the frost will weaken to -20°C (-4°F). On Saturday afternoon, the temperature will be around -14°C (7°F). On Sunday night, it will cool down only to -17°C (1°F) and -23°C (-9°F), and during the daytime in most of the republic, temperatures are expected to range from -7°C (19°F) to -12°C (10°F).
