Frosts retreat: Omsk to warm up to -4 degrees
The cold weather is expected to return to Omsk following a temporary rise in temperatures.
Residents of Omsk have been promised a significant warming. According to the service «Weather NGS55.RU», the frosts will persist for a few more days. Today, January 27, daytime temperatures will reach up to -24°C (-11°F), and on January 28 — up to -21°C (-6°F).
On Thursday, January 29, nighttime temperatures will drop to -17°C (1°F). During the day, the air will warm up to -11°C (12°F). On Friday, January 30, it will become even warmer: daytime temperatures will show -8°C (18°F).
On Saturday, January 31, it will be -7°C (19°F) at night, and only -4°C (25°F) during the day. Comfortable temperatures will persist on Sunday as well. Forecasters promise up to -8°C (18°F).
The frost will return only by the middle of next week. On February 4 and 5, temperatures will drop to up to -24°C (-11°F).
A few days ago, due to severe cold in Omsk, a student festival scheduled for January 24 on Muzeinaya Street and the skating rink on Partizanskaya was canceled. The event was postponed to January 31 because of the frosts.
