Frosts in the Urals Will Give Way to Snowfalls

Snowfalls in Yekaterinburg will begin on Wednesday, 28 January.
After a period of severe frosts in Sverdlovsk Oblast, warming will set in, bringing snowfalls with it.
Alexey Pulim, author of the Telegram channel «Weather in Yekaterinburg,» reports: «The influence of the anticyclone on the weather in Sverdlovsk Oblast is coming to an end. It will end with the passage of a cold front, which by midday on 27 January will reach the region»s borders. Closer to evening, precipitation on the front is expected in the northern and western areas of the oblast.«
In Yekaterinburg on Monday, 27 January, no precipitation is forecast. During the day it will be cloudy, in the evening – overcast. The air temperature will range from -13 to -11°C (approximately 9 to 12°F).
In the following days, meteorologists promise snowfall. Forecast by day:
- 28 January (Wednesday): night -14°C (7°F), day -10°C (14°F), snow;
- 29 January (Thursday): night -11°C (12°F), day -7°C (19°F), snow;
- 30 January (Friday): night -8°C (18°F), day -5°C (23°F), snow;
- 31 January (Saturday): night -10°C (14°F), day -8°C (18°F), snow;
- 1 February (Sunday): night -20°C (-4°F), day -16°C (3°F), cloudy;
- 2 February (Monday): night -19°C (-2°F), day -14°C (7°F), snow;
- 3 February (Tuesday): night -19°C (-2°F), day -15°C (5°F), snow.
