Frost to return to Tomsk; weekend weather forecast

Tomsk residents can expect a brief respite from the cold this weekend, but frosty conditions are forecast to return by mid-week, with temperatures plunging below -25°C (-13°F).

A slight February warm-up is coming to Tomsk this very weekend. However, by the middle of the first week, thermometers will again show -25 degrees Celsius (-13°F) and below. Let«s look at the forecast awaiting Tomsk residents in the next two days.

On Saturday, January 31, according to Gismeteo forecasters, in Tomsk the air temperature will not drop below -8 degrees Celsius (18°F), and during the day thermometers will show -6 degrees Celsius (21°F). Cloudy and no precipitation. A weak south-west wind will blow for most of the day.

On Sunday, February 1, it will become a bit colder in the city: during the day up to -10 degrees Celsius (14°F), and closer to evening it will cool down to -15 degrees Celsius (5°F). Light snow is expected only in the morning, but cloudy weather will persist all day. The wind is weak south-west.

According to preliminary forecasts from meteorologists, closer to the middle of the first week of February, the air temperature will drop again to -29 degrees Celsius (-20°F), but closer to the weekend in Tomsk it will warm up to -8 degrees Celsius (18°F).
