The frost is not letting up for Krasnoyarsk residents — rescuers have warned that on January 25, temperatures in the central districts of Krasnoyarsk Krai could drop to -45 degrees Celsius (-49°F) and below.

The city of Krasnoyarsk itself is also part of the central district. According to forecasters from the Mid-Siberian Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, on Sunday, January 25, daytime temperatures will range from -18 to -20 degrees Celsius (about 0 to -4°F), and at night from -24 to -26 degrees Celsius (about -11 to -15°F).

Additionally, light snow is expected in the city, with cloudy conditions and breaks. Winds will be weak.

Previously, NGS24.RU published a weather forecast for Krasnoyarsk for the weekend. It did not promise frosts, unlike the forecast for the coming week.

Moreover, it turns out that Krasnoyarsk is not at all prepared for severe frosts — this is confirmed by complaints about cold in apartments in the comments of the city mayor Sergei Vereshchagin.

The city hall, on this occasion, has introduced a hotline for heating issues. It is specific to each district. Calls are accepted from 09:00 to 18:00 (with a break from 13:00 to 14:00).
