Snowfalls in Central Russia will begin to weaken, but in the next 24 hours the region will still face the peak of bad weather. According to the Fobos meteorological center, the cause of the heavy precipitation is an active cyclone, whose influence will decrease only by the end of the week.

«Atmospheric processes at the turn of January and February will continue to change, like pictures in a kaleidoscope. By Friday, the Scandinavian anticyclone will push the snow cyclone into Siberia, and the weather on the Russian Plain will start to improve,» stated Fobos on 28 January.
