Blizzard, Reduced Visibility: Yaroslavl Region Issues Snowfall Warning

A winter storm is forecast to bring heavy snow, blizzard conditions, and icy roads to the Yaroslavl region in central Russia.
Residents of the Yaroslavl Region have been warned of an approaching snowfall, blizzard, icy conditions, and reduced visibility on the roads. The bad weather is expected from 18:00 on January 27 to 18:00 on January 28.
«Pedestrians, move carefully along streets and roads. Drivers, be attentive, observe the speed limit and keep your distance,» the Ministry of Regional Security of the Yaroslavl Region addressed residents.

At the same time, on the night of January 28, temperatures in the Yaroslavl Region are expected to range from -11 to -16 degrees Celsius (12 to 3°F), in some places dropping to -21 degrees Celsius (-6°F). During the day, temperatures will be between -8 and -13 degrees Celsius (18 to 9°F).
Recall that meteorologists had warned of snowfall in Central Russia. Moreover, the most intense precipitation in the Yaroslavl and Ivanovo regions was forecast for Wednesday, January 28.
In connection with this, the Yaroslavl city hall reported on intensifying snow clearing operations in the city.
In the second half of the week, a Scandinavian anticyclone will begin to move into Central Russia, bringing colder weather. Precipitation will decrease.
