Bashkortostan sees freezing night with lows of -40°C

Last night in Bashkortostan was freezing, as forecasters had warned. Residents of the republic are sharing photos of thermometers on social media to show how cold it was at their locations.
Thus, residents of the Birsky District reported that temperatures fell below -30°C (-22°F). In the Sharansky District, it cooled to -37°C (-35°F), and in the Dyurtyulinsky District — even to -40°C (-40°F). «In cold conditions, be especially careful while driving and, if possible, avoid long trips. Before hitting the road, be sure to check your vehicle»s technical condition. Make sure there is enough fuel in the tank, the battery is working properly, and all lighting devices are functioning correctly. Don«t forget to bring warm clothes, comfortable shoes, and a phone charger with you on the road,» recommend specialists from the Bashkiria GIBDD.
