Meteorologists had promised a cold snap in the Arkhangelsk region by the middle of this week. This time the forecast is quite accurate: overnight temperatures will drop again to -30°C (-22°F), and it will not be warm during the day either.
Cloudy weather with clear spells is expected. There will be light snow, with fog in some areas overnight and in the morning. A westerly wind of 2-7 m/s (4.5-16 mph).
Nighttime temperatures will be -15 to -20°C (5 to -4°F), dropping to -25 to -30°C (-13 to -22°F) during clear spells; daytime highs will be -9 to -14°C (16 to 7°F), locally down to -19°C (-2°F).
