Anomalous Frosts to Hit Arkhangelsk Oblast

Anomalous frosts are expected in Arkhangelsk Oblast. According to the Northern UGMS (Northern Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring), the temperature change will last from January 29 to February 2.

The cold snap is forecast not across the entire oblast, but in some areas.

“An abnormally cold weather is expected with the average daily air temperature deviating from the climatic norm by 7 degrees or more towards the cold,” comment the Sevhydromet (Northern Hydrometeorological Service).

Earlier, meteorologists had already reported that by mid-week the frosts will intensify.
