In Kurgan Oblast, it will get much colder in the coming days. According to the forecast from the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia (Hydrometcenter), frosts will start strengthening from Wednesday, January 21, and will intensify until the end of the week. The coldest periods, according to meteorologists, will be overnight from Thursday to Friday and from Friday to Saturday — thermometers will show down to -36°C (-33°F). It will become slightly warmer only by the beginning of next week.

Recall that for such frosts, the Department of Social Policy of the Kurgan City Administration has developed an outdoor temperature scale to cancel in-person classes in schools. This winter, Kurgan schoolchildren (and their parents) have had to frequently refer to these data.
