Yekaterinburg Traffic Police Adjusts Schedule Amid Long Queues

Residents of Yekaterinburg complained about crowded queues at State Traffic Inspectorate (GIBDD) offices. Visitors had to write their queue numbers on pieces of paper attached to the entrance doors.

A vivid example is the situation that occurred on 20 January at the registration point on Voditelsky Proezd, 20. A crowd of people gathered there, waiting for it to open.
«People kept coming and coming. The new schedule came into effect today. Some came on Sunday and Monday, but the office wasn»t working,« shared one of the readers.
The press service of the Sverdlovsk Region State Traffic Inspectorate explained that the work schedule of the departments was changed for the convenience of drivers. Starting from 20 January, the registration points of the Interdistrict Registration and Examination Department (MREO) are operating daily, without days off.
The operating hours have been set for two addresses:
- Voditelsky Proezd, 20;
- 3rd International Street, 15.
On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the offices are open from 08:00 to 19:00. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 12:00 to 20:00.
The GIBDD advises booking appointments in advance through the «Gosuslugi» portal. The department stated that currently, the queues have been eliminated, and tickets are available for any date.
