Traffic gridlocks all exits from Parkovy microdistrict

A major traffic jam forms on the road leading towards Gaidar Square.
Residents of Perm cannot leave the Parkovy microdistrict, as all routes towards Gaidar Square are paralyzed by traffic jams. There are two accidents on Lokomotivnaya Street, and on Gaidar Square itself, traffic lights were recently activated—citizens believe they are the cause of the congestion.

An online map shows heavy congestion on the approach to Gaidar Square.
On the morning of 20 January, a traffic collapse occurred at the exit from the Parkovy microdistrict. Despite the fact that the city as a whole had only moderate seven-point traffic jams, online maps showed all exits from Parkovy colored a deep burgundy. The maps indicate two accidents on Lokomotivnaya Street, Stroitely Street is at a standstill, as is the roundabout on Gaidar Square. The Perm Road Safety Center has also reported on the road accidents in that area.
Additional traffic lights were activated on the square yesterday, 19 January. Perm residents believe the traffic jams have worsened because of them.
A reader of 59.RU complained that her bus ride from the Papanintsev stop to the Dvorzhets railway workers« cultural center (DKZh) took 10 minutes instead of five, and on Lokomotivnaya Street it simply stopped. The Perm resident spent 40 minutes getting to Gaidar Square.
«We stood on Lokomotivnaya for 40 minutes, there was practically no movement,— says the 59.RU reader. — I don«t know what»s causing it, I didn«t see any accidents ahead of us. Perhaps it»s yesterday«s activation of the traffic lights on Gaidar Square. When I got on, the bus was half-empty, but when we got to Khokhryakova Street, a crowd of people piled in.»
Previously, we discussed with the deputy head of the Road Safety Center, Maxim Kis, how to get rid of the terrible traffic jams on Gaidar Square.
