Snowfalls and icy roads forecast for Bashkiria
Motorists in Bashkiria face challenging conditions due to forecasted snowfall.
Adverse weather conditions for travel are forecast for Bashkiria on January 21, according to specialists from the republic«s Ministry of Transport.
Citing the regional weather service Bashgidromet, the department reported that tomorrow, visibility in snow could deteriorate to one to two kilometers on certain highway sections, with icy conditions also expected.
According to the forecast, the republic will see cloudy weather with clearings and light snow, with moderate snowfall possible in the south during the day. Winds will be east and northeast at 5–10 meters per second. Nighttime air temperatures will range from -13°C to -18°C (9°F to 0°F), dropping to -23°C (-9°F) during clearings, while daytime temperatures will be between -8°C and -13°C (18°F to 9°F).
‘Be attentive on the roads and take weather conditions into account when planning trips,’ the ministry urged.
