Pyatigorsk railroad crossing closed for 12 hours overnight
Repair work will cause the railroad crossing in Pyatigorsk to be closed overnight.
Drivers in Pyatigorsk should adjust their weekend plans in advance. Overnight from January 24 to 25, traffic through the railroad crossing at 28 km PK 7 (Piketny Lane) will be restricted due to repair work.
As reported by the head of the resort city, Dmitry Voroshilov, the restrictions will take effect from 20:00 Friday and last until 08:00 Saturday. The work is being carried out by JSC Russian Railways (RZD), specifically choosing nighttime on the weekend to minimize inconvenience for residents.
Nevertheless, motorists are advised not to rely on luck and to plan alternative routes in advance — the crossing will be virtually inaccessible.
«Be attentive and plan your route in advance,» the mayor emphasized in his message.
