Perm hit by 10-point traffic jams amid multiple accidents

Traffic congestion in Perm is forming partly due to a series of road accidents reported across the city.
A traffic collapse has begun in Perm — the maximum traffic jam score is recorded and more than 10 accidents. The situation may worsen in the near future — a serious snowfall is forecast.

The Yandex map shows 12 accidents in Perm, contributing to the city«s severe traffic jams.
On the online map of Yandex, it can be seen that the city«s roads are »painted« red, traffic jams are rated at 10 points, across the city we counted 12 accidents.
Congestions of various lengths are present in all districts of the city. For example, on Speshilova Street there is a 1.5-kilometer traffic jam, also the entire Komsomolsky Prospect is at a standstill in both directions, a jam has formed on Lenin Street as well. Towards the Northern Dam, the congestion reaches two kilometers. Also, a 1.3-kilometer traffic jam has formed on Krisanova Street in the lane towards Stakhanovskaya.
On Vasily Vasilyev Street, there are traffic jams in both directions — their lengths are 1.6 and 2.6 kilometers. On Geroev Hasana Street, the jam stretches for 2.5 and 1.6 kilometers. On the approach to Kholmogorskaya Street, Izhevskaya and Pikhtovaya Streets are at a standstill, and on Speshilova Street, in the lane towards the center, the jam reaches 2.7 kilometers.
The Transport Department of Perm warns that public transport delays reach 30 minutes.
«Trams No. 4, 7, and 12 are delayed in the area of the »Square of Ural Volunteers« stop,» the department specified.
Soon, the situation on the roads may become more complicated — earlier Andrey Shikhov forecast a serious snowfall in the city.
«In the next two to three hours, Perm will experience intense snowfall, which will significantly hinder traffic in the evening hours,» the scientist wrote at 16:00 in his Telegram channel. «At 15:35, the airport already noted a reduction in visibility range to 800 meters.»
That is, a powerful snowfall can be expected in the very near future.
