Overpass Opens at Kalina Interchange in Yekaterinburg

In Yekaterinburg, on the evening of January 29, traffic was opened on the new section near «Kalina». The Telegram channel «Yekaterinburg.Glavnoe» reports that traffic on the overpass is being directed by traffic controllers (the driving scheme is shown in the screenshot).

Earlier, Governor Denis Pasler named the deadline for when all reconstruction work at the Kalina interchange will be completed.
«We will finish in 2026. At the latest, in the fall,» the head of the region promised.
Recently, we reported that traffic on Komsomolskaya Street from Bibliotechnaya Street towards the interchange near the Kalina concern will be closed until summer 2026. An underground pedestrian crossing will be built there.
About the stages of construction of the mega-interchange near Kalina, we wrote in detail earlier. The new road facility should solve the problem of perpetual traffic jams, increasing the throughput capacity of the complex section by more than double: from 5,000 cars per hour to 12,000.
