Public transport in Omsk is to be brought to a single color scheme. The City Council will discuss the possibility of introducing fines for non-compliance with the uniform style at a meeting on Thursday, January 22, according to documents obtained by NGS55.RU.

If the amendments are adopted, carriers will have to pay not only for incorrect bus colors but also for violations of rules on interior information placement. The fine amounts are currently unknown.

«The proposed liability for persons transporting passengers and baggage is necessary to improve service quality,» states the explanatory note to the draft law.

Previously, Omsk began branding municipal transport. It was planned that all buses would be orange, trolleybuses green, and trams red. In November last year, the repainting was suspended due to lack of funding.
