Old Private Buses Run on Perm Municipal Routes During Repairs

In Perm, buses from a private carrier have started operating on routes served by the municipal transport company. Several readers reported this to 59.RU. We found out why this happened.

«Why are old private buses running instead of new municipal ones? What went wrong?» asked a subscriber of @news59ru on Telegram.

«Last week, I saw stickers saying »PGET« on buses of route 77 instead of LLC »Dizel«. The mystery of the stickers is solved: now they are working on route No. 36,» wrote a regular reader of 59.RU, Canehka.

According to data from the «GorTrans» website, on Wednesday, 28 January, on route No. 36, where Permgorelectrotrans operates, there was one bus from the «Dizel» fleet. The next day, their number increased to five. The reason for the appearance of private buses on the municipal carrier«s route was explained to 59.RU by the press service of Permgorelectrotrans.

«Due to repairs of the main bus fleet, the enterprise decided to temporarily rent additional transport. This measure is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted operation of the routes served by the enterprise and minimizing trip losses,» Permgorelectrotrans told 59.RU.

Why a large number of buses from the municipal fleet simultaneously went in for repairs was not specified by the press service of Permgorelectrotrans. Previously, private carriers have repeatedly told 59.RU about problems with servicing and repairing new buses.

The situation was also commented on by the head of ATP «Dizel» Andrey Binevsky, whose equipment began operating on Permgorelectrotrans routes in January.

«We have a little opportunity to help our colleagues close their schedules. We rented out five vehicles to them for a month to ensure the city has uninterrupted transport operation,» Andrey Binevsky told 59.RU.

Earlier, we reported that after a year-long standstill, the three-section tram «Lev» has started running again.
