Plans to extend the metro branch to the Sovetsky District were discussed again in December last year: the company «Eney» refused to provide a land plot on General Ivliev Street, as it might fall into the zone of underground construction in the future.

This week, the Ministry of Urban Development (Mingrad), commenting on the topic, reported that the current general plan of Nizhny Novgorod provides for the construction of a metro line through Osharskaya and Vaneeva streets, the Verkhniye Pechory microdistrict, to Ankudinovka Park. It has been included for over 15 years (the last city general plan was adopted in 2010).

to the «Korabli» residential complex in the Sormovsky District;

  • along Gagarin Avenue to the Novinki settlement;

  • to the «Ankudinovka Park» residential complex via Verkhniye Pechory.

    The current general plan is valid until 2030. By that time, Mingrad must develop a new one. Whether the previously planned metro stations will remain in it is a question.
