The new passenger terminal complex at Barnaul Airport and its accompanying infrastructure are 85% complete. This was reported to NGS22.RU by the regional Ministry of Transport.
Currently, engineering systems and external networks for auxiliary buildings and structures are being installed at the site, along with finishing work and landscaping.
«The installation of decorative facade elements is in its final stage, and next month the building will fully acquire its designed appearance. Equipment necessary for the terminal»s operation has been purchased,« the ministry stated.
The facility is planned to be put into operation in March of this year.
The area of the three-story building under construction will be 10,000 square meters. The first floor will house zones for entrance security checks and passenger registration, as well as baggage handling and collection. The second floor will have a pre-flight security check zone, arrival gallery, waiting hall, and a block of service premises. The third floor will include departure waiting zones, enhanced comfort areas, commercial spaces, food courts, and a mother-and-child room.
The total cost of the project implementation has exceeded 7 billion rubles (approximately $77.8 million at current rates).
