On her Instagram account (banned in Russia), Zagitova shared several photos in her new look. The Olympic champion did not comment on the post, only adding a black heart emoji.
This post gathered over 13 thousand likes in a few days. However, commentators were divided into two camps: some clearly did not like Zagitova«s look, while others admired how Alina had changed.

“Very Japanese-style, where Alina has a large fan base. I wonder who the stylist is,” wrote the journalist in her Telegram channel.
