Zenit acquires John John for 20 million euros
The St. Petersburg football club Zenit has officially announced the transfer of Brazilian midfielder John John. The transfer fee amounted to 20 million euros.

The 23-year-old footballer has already arrived at the team«s location, which is holding a training camp in Doha. There, he successfully passed the medical examination and signed a contract with the club. Zenit paid his former club, Red Bull Bragantino, 20 million euros. Meanwhile, the portal Transfermarkt estimates the player»s market value at 11 million euros.
For Bragantino, John John participated in 76 matches in all competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing 14 assists. Previously, he played for Palmeiras, with which he twice won the Brazilian championship title.
After 18 rounds of the Russian Premier League, Zenit occupies second place in the table, having earned 39 points. They trail the leader Krasnodar by one point. The team«s first game of the spring part of the season will be a match against Baltika.
