Traktor closes trade window with three new players

On December 25, the KHL trade deadline day, Traktor announced the addition of three players to its roster.
The information about a contract between the black-and-whites and defenseman Michal Čajkovský from Slovakia was confirmed; the agreement with the 33-year-old player is until the end of the 2025/2026 season.
«Traktor needed another defenseman who could add toughness to the defense,» commented the club«s general manager Alexei Volkov.
Michal is a product of the Bratislava club Slovan, played in the AHL for Hershey and Charlotte, as well as for a number of teams in the European Hockey League. In Russia, he played for Avtomobilist, Dynamo Moscow, Sibir, and Spartak. Čajkovský left his last club in the offseason, moving to the Swiss club Ambrì Piotta in the fall of 2025. On January 25, the club«s press service reported that Čajkovský terminated his contract, »expressing a desire to immediately return to Slovakia.«
From Spartak, in exchange for monetary compensation, goalie Dmitry Nikolayev also moved, this became known on the afternoon of January 25. The last exchange of the black-and-whites occurred with Dynamo Moscow, and the attack of the Chelyabinsk club will be strengthened by Alexander Kisakov. The 23-year-old forward is from Solikamsk, spent three seasons in the AHL, playing for Rochester Americans, but in 2025 returned to Dynamo.
