The purchase (or more precisely, the exchange for monetary compensation) of the new goaltender was officially confirmed by Tractor.
«The goaltender position is extremely scarce in the KHL today, and we have finally managed to reach a consensus with Spartak on the transfer of Dmitry Nikolayev. At 26 years old, he is already an experienced hockey player who has played three full seasons in the League and performed well in the playoffs. We expect him to compete with Sergei Mylnikov and strengthen our goaltending line,» said the club«s general manager Alexei Volkov.
In addition, Timeout commentator Ivan Nevsky claimed that Tractor is allegedly in negotiations with former Spartak defenseman Michal Chaykovski.
The hockey player left the capital team in the offseason, and in the autumn he moved to the Swiss club Ambrì Piotta. On January 25, the club«s press service reported that Chaykovski terminated his contract, »expressing a desire to immediately return to Slovakia.«
Recall that this week, former head coach of the black-and-whites Benoit Grou took over the coaching staff of the Swiss club Zug, and Tractor product Maxim Shalunov extended his contract with Yaroslavl«s Lokomotiv.
